I’m honored to take part in your search for health and well being. As you are maybe already aware, my practice is very diverse. What I offer in terms of treatment is the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture, Moxabustion and Herbs), Homeopathic Medicines, Flower Essences and Nutritional Therapy. It is my opinion that these treatments can be used to treat a majority of the wide range of problems that are conventionally treated with drugs. It is also my experience that holistic medicine can be a very successful approach to health care and prevention of disease.

In your first session with me, an extensive intake will be taken, including your present and past medical history as well as your family medical history. Once a diagnosis is made, the treatment will be chosen accordingly. Unless otherwise stated by you, acupuncture will be administered to balance the energy flows in the body, and boost the immune system. An herbal prescription or homeopathic prescription will then be recommended. Dietary, Nutritional and Lifestyle advice will also be offered during this session.

Initial consultations usually take about 1.5 hours, so please make sure you have plenty of time allotted for your first visit. Follow-up visits usually run about 60 minutes, and herbal consultations 60 minutes. If you have medical records, recent blood work or any other items that are pertinent to the issue you wished to be helped with, please bring them with you.

It is important, as we start working together, that you realize, regardless of the nature of the problem and or diagnosis, I am going to use the above mentioned methods and other adjunctive therapies as needed. Not every problem can be successfully treated by holistic medicine. Many clients come to me because conventional medicine has left them without hope of any solution, so I am often faced with very serious cases. Sometimes, the level of disease is too far advanced for any holistic methods, in which case I can provide only supportive care. At other times, I may not possess the necessary knowledge or experience. Occasionally, my methods fail in spite of my best efforts. I say this not to discourage you, but rather to honestly communicate my skills and also my limitations. I will make your health and wellbeing a priority, but, if a case is beyond the scope of my practice or ability your case will be referred to a more qualified practitioner.

Phone Consultations
I also have a phone consultation component to my practice for those clients who live out-of-state or that are in more rural areas, and don’t have access to holistic medicine. These clients are treated with Homeopathy and Herbal Medicines, based on detailed patient intakes done over the phone.

Price Schedule as of September 2004
Payment is due at the time of service; I accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. If your insurance provider covers Acupuncture, insurance receipts will be provided for your reimbursement.

Homeopathic Consultations*
Initial Consultation: $185.00 (Includes 2 hours of research, your remedy & 1.5 hour initial consultation)

Follow-Up: $75.00/hour

Acute Consultations: $75.00/hour

Weekends or After-hours fees (after 6pm weekdays): $150.00/hour

* These prices reflect time spent on researching and consulting on your case either directly or analyzing with a consulting physician. Homeopathy is a very in depth approach to health care and after the initial consultation patients are usually only seen or spoken to for brief intervals over the following months (prices for Homeopathic consultations reflect this and are then based on 15 minute increments).

Cancellation Policy
I understand that life is full of unexpected events. Please try to let me know 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule. My missed appointment policy is as follows: 24 hours notice or I have the option of charging my minimum fees 15 minutes for phone consultations and 30 minutes for in office consults.

My Background:
I received my Bachelors degree in Fine Arts in 1995 from Mount Allison University in Canada, and my Masters degree in Oriental Medicine in 2000 from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine, Santa Fe, New Mexico. I am licensed by the NCCAOM in Chinese Acupuncture and Herbology. I am graduated from the Colorado School of Homeopathy in June 2005 as a certified Classical Homeopath. I have worked in private practice and as a Veterinary Acupuncturist for five years in New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming. For the last 8 years I have been studying with several Native American teachers and healers and homeopaths and incorporate much of my learned knowledge there into my practice. I have worked, taught and lectured in the Rocky Mountain West on the Holistic health for humans and animals. My work with clients range from treating them, their pets or both! The diversity of my training and knowledge allow me to work on all levels, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. I believe that the mind/body/spirit connection is the cornerstone of holism, to view the body as one functioning organism, whether it is you or your pets. I love what I do and work with only the highest intentions for myself and my clients.
