The 4,000 year old practice of TCM has gained worldwide acceptance
for its treatment of pain and certain diseases. Chinese medicine
is based in theory that when the body’s energy or Qi (Chee)
are balanced the body is well. Qi is the general term for all
your body’s energies, electrical, chemical, magnetic and
radiant. Nature’s laws govern our bodies and our Qi. Gravity,
time, inertia, friction, yin and yang, all affect us inside and
out. Energy must flow. Flows of Qi and Blood are the basics of
good health. When they are abundant and flowing, we are well.
When blood or Qi are weak or stuck we become ill. TCM uses Acupuncture
and Herbal medicine to balance these energies to promote good
health through abundant flow.
Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine needles, (sometimes
in conjunction with electrical stimulus), on the body’s
surface, in order to influence physiologic functioning of the
body. Acupuncture is used to balance the body’s energy flows
to promote healing, improve health and alleviate pain.
Chinese Herbs and herbal medicines have been used for thousands
of years to improve health and vitality. Many of these formulas
have also been used for treating various illnesses and restoring
the normal body functions. One of the most appealing qualities
of Chinese herbs therapy is the low risk of adverse reaction or
side effects.
